Riboflavin; Vitamin B2
Brief Introduction
Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, is a water-soluble vitamin that can not be synthesized by the human body and must be supplied by food. It is indispensable for maintaining normal physiological functions and metabolism of the human body. Vitamin B2 participates in the normal growth of cells, promotes wound healing, strengthens nails and hair, is also an important component of coenzymes, participates in the synthesis and metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, and participates in the composition of red blood cells and the transport of iron. Helps prevent and treat iron deficiency anemia, and also has a certain antihypertensive effect. Clinically, it is mainly used to prevent angular cheilitis, glossitis, chapped lips, conjunctivitis, scrotum and seborrheic dermatitis caused by vitamin B2 deficiency.
Applications
Riboflavin is widely used in medicine, food and feed, etc. In terms of medicine, it is used in multivitamin or vitamin B2 preparations, and it is also used as a yellow coloring agent for sugar-coated tablets and capsules. When used as a food additive, it can strengthen the role of nutrition, on the other hand also acts as a yellow coloring agent.
1) Vitamin B2 is a vitamin that promotes the growth and development of the body and plays an important role in the metabolism of the human body. Generally used to treat riboflavin deficiency, conjunctivitis, trophic ulcers, systemic nutritional disorders and other diseases
2) Biochemical research, photocatalysts for acrylamide gel polymerization, nutrients, and clinical drugs belong to the vitamin B family, participate in the metabolism of sugar, fat, and protein in the body, maintain normal visual function, and promote growth. It is clinically used to treat angular cheilitis and glossitis caused by vitamin B2 deficiency.
3) As a micronutrient additive, vitamin B2 is of great significance to the nutrition of poultry and livestock, the development of immune organs, and the quality of eggs and litters.
