(R)-(+)-2-Methyl-2-propanesulfinamide
Brief Introduction:
(R)-(+)-2-Methyl-2-propanesulfinamide, also known as R-(+)-tert-Butylsulfinamide, the CAS number is: 196929-78-9, the molecular formula is: C4H11NOS, is a new type of pharmaceutical intermediate and an important chiral source for the synthesis of chiral amine drugs. It has been widely used in the synthesis of chiral drugs and can be used as a chiral ligand to induce catalytic asymmetric synthesis reactions.
Solubility:
It is soluble in some organic solvents such as ether and ketones, but insoluble in water.
Synthesis Routes:
Method 1: Add anhydrous liquid ammonia and a small amount of Fe(NO3)3 crystals to a flask equipped with a stirring rod, a temperature probe with an argon inlet, and an ammonia condenser. Then add lithium wire in batches and keep stirring at low temperature. Then slowly add the reactant solution to the mixture, quench the reaction after the reaction is completed, and extract the product.
Method 2: Add liquid ammonia and a small amount of Fe(NO3)3 crystals to the flask of the ammonia condenser. Then add lithium wire in portions and stir at low temperature. Then slowly add a solution of (S)-tert-butyl (1R,2S)-aminoindanol-mesitylenesulfonamide sulfinate, and extract the product after the reaction is completed.
