L-Citrulline
Brief Introduction:
L-Citrulline is an amino acid with antioxidant properties, it has the effect of promoting blood circulation. But its most important role is to help the body produce arginine, an amino acid that helps the body's cells divide, promotes wound healing, and removes ammonia from the body. There are many foods known to contain citrulline, including watermelon, walnuts, meat, fish, milk, and beans.

Functions and Uses of our L-Citrulline:
One of the well-known benefits of L-citrulline is increased vasodilation, which is due to the conversion of L-citrulline after it is consumed. In the human body, L-citrulline is converted into arginine, then arginine is converted into Nitric Oxide (NO) molecules, Nitric Oxide causes vasodilation --- the expansion and relaxation of blood vessels, allowing more blood to flow at a higher rate. This increased blood flow has many benefits in the body.
♔ Improve Performance and Endurance:
The increased vasodilation caused by consuming L-citrulline can have a dramatic impact on body function, increased vasodilation results in increased blood flow around the body and, more importantly, to working muscles - it means this increased blood flow then allows for increased nutrient delivery as well as increased oxygen delivery through the blood to those working muscles. Many studies show that when nitric oxide levels and vasodilation are increased, performance, strength, and endurance are improved. L-citrulline is a better supplement option than arginine because the body processes and absorbs L-citrulline far better than arginine.
♔ Remove Harmful Compounds:
L-citrulline and arginine are both among the amino acids that play an important role in the urea cycle in the body. The urea cycle is responsible for converting highly toxic ammonia into urea, which is then excreted from the body. Once converted, urea is excreted from the body through our urine.
♔ Maintain Muscle Mass:
Although L-citrulline is an amino acid not used directly to build proteins; research shows that it has the ability to increase protein synthesis. This increase in protein synthesis occurs in skeletal muscle through the body's mTOR pathway. In addition to an increase in muscle protein synthesis; L-citrulline is believed to have amino acid sparing effects in the body. By reducing the intake of certain amino acids into the liver, the breakdown of these amino acids is prevented and levels are increased.
