Applications:

High Refractive Index Solvent:

Dimethyl maleate has a high refractive index and is therefore widely used in the optical field. It can be used as a solvent in the preparation of optical coatings, optical films and optical polymers. Due to its high refractive index and transparency, it provides the required optical properties and effects.

Plasticizer:

Dimethyl maleate can be used as a plastic plasticizer. It can react with the plastic matrix to improve the processability, flexibility and weather resistance of the plastic. Common applications include polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other plastic products such as hoses, flooring materials, plastic films, etc.

Polymer Synthesis:

Dimethyl maleate can be used in polymer synthesis. By polymerizing with other monomers, polymers with different properties and uses can be prepared. For example, copolymerization with acrylate monomers can produce copolymers with good optical and physical properties.

Chemical Cross-Linking Agents:

Dimethyl maleate is reactive and can be used as a cross-linking agent in chemicals. It can react with other chemicals to form a cross-linked structure, improving the stability and durability of chemicals. In the fields of coatings, inks and adhesives, it can be used to enhance the performance of materials.
