Dibutyl Fumarate
Brief Introduction:
Dibutyl fumarate (DBF) is a very powerful solvent and a very important raw material, comonomer and organic synthesis intermediate in the chemical synthesis industry.
DBF is an unsaturated dibasic acid ester with active reactivity and easy addition reaction on the double bond.
Specifications of our Dibutyl fumarate (DBF):

Acid Value | Not more than 1.0 mgKOH/g |
Moisture | Not more than 0.2% |
Viscosity (25℃) | Not more than 9.5 cps |
Specific Gravity (20℃) | 0.987 ± 0.003 g/cm3 |
Applications:
Dibutyl fumarate (DBF) is a plasticizer and is extremely difficult to self-polymerize, but it can be copolymerized with other monomers such as vinyl acetate, styrene, vinyl chloride, acrylate, etc. Films made from these copolymers will not become brittle due to volatilization, migration or solvent extraction of plasticizers, and have a long-lasting plasticizing effect.
DBF copolymers can also be widely used as lubricating oils and their additives (pouring point depressants, viscosity index reducing agents), coating agents, coatings, adhesives, fiber treatment agents, etc.
In addition, DBF can replace part of styrene as a bridging agent for unsaturated polyester. Sometimes DBF can also be used as a pigment diluent.
