Brief Introduction:
Cis-3-hexenol, also known as cis-3-Hexen-1-ol and leaf alcohol, has a molecular formula of C6H12O and a relative molecular weight of 100.16. Cis-3-hexenol is a colourless oily liquid with a boiling point of 156℃~157°C, a relative density of 0.8460, and a refractive index of 1.4395. Naturally found in tea, acacia, radish, strawberry, grapefruit and other plants.
Solubility:
Slightly soluble in water; soluble in alcohol and most organic solvents; mixable with most oils.

Applications of our Cis-3-hexenol(Leaf Alcohol):
Cis-3-hexenol(leaf alcohol) has a strong fresh grass aroma and is a popular light-flavored precious spice. Cis-3-hexenol and its esters are indispensable flavoring agents in flavor production. According to reports, more than 40 famous flavor formulas in the world currently contain cis-3-hexenol. Usually only 0.5% or less of cis-3-hexenol is needed to obtain a significant green leaf aroma.
1) Food Field:
Cis-3-hexenol is widely used in the preparation of natural fresh flavors such as banana, strawberry, citrus, muscat, apple, etc. It is also used with esters such as acetic acid, valeric acid, and lactic acid to change the taste of food, mainly used to suppress the sweet aftertaste of refreshing drinks and fruit juices.
2) Cosmetics Field:
In the cosmetics industry, cis-3-hexenol is used to prepare various artificial essential oils similar to natural flavors, such as lily of the valley, clove, oakmoss, peppermint and lavender essential oils. It can also be used to prepare various floral fragrances and give artificial essential oils and essences a green top fragrance. Cis-3-Hexen-1-ol is also an important raw material for the synthesis of jasmone and methyl jasmonate.
3) Biological Control Field:
Cis-3-hexenol is also an indispensable physiologically active substance in both plants and insects. Insects use cis-3-hexenol as an alarm, aggregation pheromone or sex hormone.
