Butyl butyryllactate
Brief Introduction:
Butyl butyryllactate is a colourless liquid with a soft aroma of butter and toast. It is soluble in propylene glycol and most non-volatile oils, and is very difficult to dissolve in water and glycerin.
Butyl butyryllactate is particularly suitable for the preparation of flavours such as vanilla and butter.
Preparation Method:
It is prepared by direct acetylation of butyl lactate and butyric anhydride in the presence of sulfuric acid.
