Bakuchiol
Brief Introduction:
Bakuchiol is mainly found in the seeds of the Indian plant "Psoralea corylifolia[babchi]". Bakuchiol is the main component of the volatile oil of commonly used traditional Chinese medicine Psoralea, accounting for more than 60% of its volatile oil, belongs to a prenylphenol terpenoids. It is easy to oxidize and has the property of overflowing with water vapor. Recent studies have shown that bakuchiol has various antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Bakuchiol, as a wonder ingredient, which is the new retinol alternative without the burning, irritation, and redness associated with traditional retinol. Bakuchiol originated in rehabilitation and has a long history of use in Indian Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. It is now hailed as a natural retinoid in skincare research in the West.
