Apigenin
Brief Introduction:
Apigenin, also known as Versuline or 4',5,7-trihydroxyflavaone, is a flavonoid compound. It mainly exists in plants of the Thymeaceae, Verbenaceae, and Selaginellaceae families, and is widely distributed in vegetables and fruits in temperate zones, especially in celery.
A large number of studies in China and abroad have found that apigenin has various biological activities such as anti-tumor, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection, anti-virus, and antibacterial activity.

Applications:
1. Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Effects: Apigenin is a natural antioxidant that can protect cells from free radical damage.
2. Antibacterial and Antiviral Effects: Apigenin has certain inhibitory effects on some bacteria and viruses, so it can be used to develop some drugs to prevent and treat infectious diseases.
3. Lower Blood Pressure: Apigenin can lower blood pressure in a variety of ways, including dilating blood vessels and slowing heart rate. This makes it a valuable natural blood pressure reducer.
4. Improve Heart Health: Apigenin can help protect heart health, reduce myocardial ischemia-reperfusion damage, and reduce the incidence of arrhythmias.
5. Protect Liver Health: Apigenin can inhibit the deposition of fat in liver cells, improve liver function, and reduce liver damage.
6. Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Cancer: Apigenin has certain anti-inflammatory effects and can prevent cell mutation and canceration. In addition, it has anti-cancer effects and can inhibit the growth and spread of tumors.
7. Anti-Anxiety and Depression: Apigenin can relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve mood levels, and help improve mental health.
8. Sunscreen Cosmetics: Apigenin has strong absorption capacity for UVB ultraviolet rays, can protect against radiation damage, which can be used in sunscreen skin care products.
